TTT: Ten Characters Who Are Fellow Book Nerds

toptentuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the wonderful, list making gurus, The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they publish a new Top Ten list and invite their fellow book bloggers, bloggers and bookworms to join in.

Its a bit of a brief one this week. The kids are off for the summer and things are a little hectic here at BBLB HQ. I’m just going to leave this here and run. Do comment and to let me know what you think of my list and to share your own. I’ll try to pop back later in the week to check the out.

1. Cather, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
This Girl lives for her favourite characters. While i’ve never written fan fiction I can totally understand the feeling of wanting to be emerged in a favourite world for just a little bit longer.

2. Henry, The Incredibale Book Eating Boy by Oliver Jeffers
Henry LOVES books and just can’t help devouring them a dozen at a time. The only problem is, Henry doesn’t read them, he eats them! A bedtime favourite at BBLB HQ.

Is there anything sexier than a love interest who shares the protagonists interests?
In compiling this list I have realised that not only are some of my most favourite characters bookworms but some of my all time favourite ships share a mutual love of the written word. 3. Tessa and Will, The Infernal devices Series by Cassandra Claire. One of my all time favourite ships sharing their passion for books and also the source of my favourite book quote.
“One must always be careful of books,” said Tessa, “and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”

4. Dorian, Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J Mass
Not only is the man a crowned prince, gorgeous, kind despite his upbringing, able to take care of himself and a menstration empathiser he also shares Celaena’s love of books. #teamDorianforever

5. Hazel Grace an Augustus Walter, The Fault in our stars by John Green
They meet, share their favourite books, become obsessed with the ending of a particular book, stalk the writer and in the process fall in love.

6. Hermione Granger, Harry Potter series by JK Rowling
I’d be surpassed if anyones list didn’t feature this talented bookworm. While the Harry Potter books and Hermione herself, taught kids that it was ok to enjoy reading and turned a generation on to reading it was the characters below who did the same for me.

7. Jo March, little Women by Louisa May Alcott

8 Matilda Wormwood, Matilda by Roald Dahl

9 Jane Eyre, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

10. Belle, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast
I know, I know this is a total cheat but I STILL fantasise about THAT LIBRARY

Love this weeks theme! When a characters a book nerd too I instantly feel more connected. I really loved kat from Jennifer Armentrouts Lux series because of this. When she’d get so excited when she’d find new books in her post, and annoyed everyone by leaving them all around the house i instantly related. She’d reference book covers or give a bit of a description of a book every now and then and it was a fun game trying to work out which books she was reffering to.
Love that belle was on your list!!
